"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life!" John 3:16
We seek to provide individuals and families with a foundation to build a stronger relationship with God, bring the presence of Jesus, Mary and Joseph into their personal life and to provide practical ideas that will energize lives and lead individuals to a renewed Catholic life and spirit of evangelization.
The Heart of JMJ Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides ongoing spiritual and financial support as a missionary partner of the San Angelo Catholic Women's Conference. Our mission is to bring future events to both women and men of the San Angelo Diocese.
In 2006 a dream rose in the heart of JoAnn Turner. She attended a conference in Lubbock, TX started by individuals in their Diocese who felt the need to bring quality speakers to the people of the Diocese of Lubbock. The Holy Spirit planted the desire to do something similar in JoAnn's heart.
JoAnn attended the San Antonio Catholic Women's Conference in 2015 and heard the challenge of Archbishop Garcia-Siller...bring this conference home to your Diocese. The seed that had been planted sprang to life. After much prayer and discernment, and with the permission and encouragement of Bishop Michael Sis, the Heart of JMJ Foundation was born. The Holy Spirit led her to women whose hearts were dedicated to serving the Lord and had the desire to take on the responsibilities of beginning a foundation dedicated to bringing Catholic speakers to the Diocese of San Angelo.
In 2016, JoAnn Turner and Board Members Lisa Quirino, Georgette Young, Vonda Wilde, Lupe Blackwood and Carmen DeHoyos founded the Heart of JMJ Foundation. From these beginnings the foundation brought the Catholic Women's Conference to our Diocese. The conference will bring women together throughout the Diocese to teach them about the "Outrageous Love" that Jesus Christ feels for each of us as illustrated by John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life!" John 3:16
